What does your All-Inclusive Hourly Rate include?
Our All-Inclusive Hourly Rate includes your professional team of local Toronto movers, all the necessary tools, protective materials, furniture disassembly/reassembly, and standard liability coverage.
How is my total billable time calculated?
The moving clock starts when we arrive at your pick-up location at which point you’ll confirm the start-time by signing the Move Order.
The clock stops when you sign the Move Order again at your final destination confirming the stop-time, and completion of your move.
How are hours rounded?
Hours are rounded to the nearest half of an hour.
How long will my move take?
An accurate content list leads to an accurate completion time. However, very often providing an exact completion time is not possible. This is because any number of small logistical details could impact the duration of the move by making it shorter or longer.
For example, the distance to, and ease of access from, the loading/unloading area to your location. That said, with over a decade of experience we always have a good idea of how long a particular move will take. On average, moving a 1-bedroom condo takes 2-4 hours to complete, while a 2-bedroom condo takes between 4-6 hours. If you’d like a more accurate estimate, get a fast quote in minutes.
What can I expect on moving day?
Our crew arrives on time with clean, fully equipped trucks and treats your home with care from door to door. Here’s what to expect:
- Fit, friendly, uniformed crew with a team-lead as your primary point of contact.
- Clear communication: quick plan on arrival, and timeline updates. The team-lead coordinates everything, and the team can be directed as you see fit—just tell us what goes where.
- Clean, branded trucks: stocked and ready.
- Fully equipped tools: dollies, straps, hand trucks, and professional toolkits.
- Premium protection: floor runners, door & railing guards, furniture pads, protective blankets, and shrink wrap.
- Careful loading & placement: room-by-room delivery plus basic disassembly/reassembly as needed.
- Post-move cleanup: and a final walkthrough.
What if my move finishes in less time than estimated?
You only pay for the actual amount of time it takes to complete your move, not the estimated time.
Are you registered?
Yes. Great Toronto Movers is a registered Ontario business with an active HST number. As a trusted moving company we operate in full compliance with provincial regulations.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Great Toronto Movers Inc. has a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation with an ‘Excellent’ rating.
Are you insured?
Yes. In addition to basic insurance (Released Value Protection) included with all of our moving, and packing services, we are pleased to be one of the very few local moving companies to offer its clients Best-in-Class coverage (Replacement Value Protection) up to $50,000.
Do you offer in-person moving estimates?
Yes. We are happy to provide in-person moving estimates locally free of charge.
Do you have WSIB coverage?
Yes. We provide WSIB coverage for all employees. It’s one of the ways we uphold professional standards and safety.
Do you provide packing services?
Yes. We’re proud to be one of the few local Toronto movers to offer full-service packing, including providing all the supplies. As part of our comprehensive services trusted across the GTA, we handle everything from a single room to an entire home with care and precision.
And because the correct pack job can drastically reduce the total time of completion, we usually arrive a day or two before your scheduled move to pack and prepare everything for transport.
Do you charge for delivering packing supplies?
No. We deliver packing supplies free of charge to the GTA. We’ll also refund you for the supplies you don’t end up using. Ready to order? Request your packing supplies with your quote.
Do you have a dock-to-dock fee?
No.
Do you have a stair fee?
No.
Do you have a labour fee?
No.
Do you have a heavy item fee?
No.
Do you have a travel time fee?
There is no travel time charge from our office to and/or from your location within the city of Toronto.
Do you have a last-minute booking fee?
No.
Do you offer furniture assembly?
Yes. Furniture assembly/disassembly is included with our All-Inclusive Hourly Rates.
Do you have any hidden fees?
No. There are never any hidden fees with Great Toronto Movers. You only pay the rate listed on your Booking Confirmation email.
Do I need to be present during my move?
Not for the entire duration of your move. Either yourself, a family member or an authorised person only needs to be present to sign the Move Order at the start, and at the end of your move.
Do you provide floor runners?
Yes.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Great Toronto Movers offers seniors an automatic 10% discount. To apply it, request an instant quote, and and mention the discount.
Is there anything you won't move?
We will not move animals, hazardous items, flammable items, guns, explosives, or any article of extraordinary value. These include but are not limited to sums of money, securities, precious metals, precious stones, coins, stamps, or jewellery with a value greater than CDN $5,000.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation or rescheduling within 14 calendar days of your confirmed move time will result in your deposit being non-refundable.
Which forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit, debit, e-transfer, and cash.
